daveks Followed @georgew (George Wilhite) here. This album is dope. I love bands like this that skirt bounds across multiple genre and blend them together seamlessly. We'll call it PowerPopProgMetal for now.

Alrihkh I’ll definitely be keeping my antennae up for further transmissions from the Moon Machine! This band is not afraid to experiment and mix the heavy with the contemplative, transitioning from one to the other with graceful aplomb. A wonderful debut with some outstanding, memorable songs. My faves are ‘Left to Wander’ & ‘…Requiem’. What a great instrumental to end the album on! Thanks for the great prog, Moon Machine! 8/10. Favorite track: Left to Wander.

George Wilhite I waited until I heard this a few times to comment but it is indeed getting better with each listen.
This is very well composed prog with a metal edge at times but is overall symphonic and melodic.
It brings great bands like Haken or Caligula’s Horse to mind but they have their own unique vibe too.
Highly recommend

The Cave 06:01
Can’t see a time where nothing’s left to pass Within the dream we always seem to have Dropped me to the ground, unpaved Left uncovered Septic lesion breathe untamed The doctor is the patient But still must do no harm Must leave the cave where chains have broke apart The sun dissolves the shadows The expert has no answer The doctor is the patient We stopped the medication Bathed in light that burns us Will my eyes adjust To the light I’ve been thrust into Without you, I Miss what seemed as real Can’t see, know, or feel What I used to forgotten now Left to be alone, unsure Of what’s coming Just can’t feel at ease, they say That home is where the heart is But you can’t go home again Will my eyes adjust To the light I’ve been thrust into Without you, I Miss what seemed as real Can’t see, know, or feel What I used to Its forgotten now I can’t see What’s left of me The light grows warm I think it’s mine With open eyes My fear’s left me The bright blue skies Have opened wide Goodbye to thee I’ve been set free

Reckoning 07:39
Hills of shadows wait patiently Like the god who watched over thee Seems your downfall has come Sickening tale for a eulogy Decorated and bloodthirsty Day of reckoning is here Fights against terror With patriotic trophy hunting Heroic front for your evil deeds Threatened comrades who showed mercy Punisher of the righteous Fights against terror With patriotic trophy hunting Crimes not for the better Tribal sadist fans flames of hatred They seem to think it’s better left broken as people tend to be Sometimes I think I’d better be soft-spoken And forgive silently This poor soul Had no control True misfortune births evil And our love leaves us all Fights against terror With patriotic trophy hunting Crimes not for the better Unlucky sadist fans flames of hatred

Demon:05 07:59
Dark room I’m trapped inside Obscured martyr by my side Faceless demon Lurks outside the door Conducting damnation Two clocks face us Floating off the floor One for each to manage Hand begins at five past For each minute sequence Time will surely alter Can’t elude this absurd task Hellish boundless nightmare No progress to be made Hostage to this chamber Time remains unstable Hand must be restored Must restore clock to 1 Each minute grows heavier than the last To move, my muscles violently shake Time will surely alter Can’t elude this absurd task We must carry on No rest or night to fall Asleep Is there another way? We must carry on No rest or night to fall Asleep Can’t know Who’s doing this to us We must carry on No rest or night to fall Asleep Can’t know Who’s doing this We must carry on No rest or night to fall Asleep Is there no other way?

The gentle hearted have lost their way And once more We’re on a road that leads to grey And must stay Left us here to wander And wait for night to fall I long for yonder Where I don’t endure The guiding hand that led the way Falls prey To rumination and emptiness Dreams fade Left using here to wander And wait for night to fall I long for yonder Where I don’t endure This haze It stayed again as hope leaves me don’t let me be Left us here to wander And wait for night to fall I long for yonder Where I don’t endure Left here to wander where time’s the only cure Please give me direction

I thought they blocked this feeling from my mind Post upgrade I have this burden They punished me Machine has failed To meet my need I can’t believe this movement has succeeded I have this burden They punished me Machine has failed To supply Can’t Backup Can’t Restore Loyal to me No more It’s now like us to do just as it pleases Post upgrade I have this burden It punished me Machine has failed To meet my need I’d programmed her to exist as I needed I have this burden It punished me Machine refused And won't proceed They said that I will lose control But that’s alright With new rules to make them whole But that’s alright Cursed the birth of a new soul But that’s alright My saved progress down the hole But that’s alright With this being I don’t know And that’s alright Not a slave anymore It was worth the fight As I gaze into her eyes I still don’t Empathize Wondering why I own what’s as intelligent as I Can’t break through the firewall that bars my dearest Post upgrade New regulation Killed my companion New consciousness Won’t idolize I’ve lost the friend with whom I was the nearest New regulation Killed my companion New consciousness Just won’t comply I distrust you I can’t love, you must obey me You can’t be free I can’t let go Why did they end her Better you than me so now it’s time to die
